Eden Cookies says: “A Great Right has been Unwronged.”

I looked at my watch. The time was 10:30pm.

The minutes on the clock ticked down to seconds, as the start of Eden’s victory party approached.

There was something in the air.

Something even an objective disinterested observer could sense.

It was big.

It was going to happen.

Finally.

It wasn’t just any Saturday night at Club Sway, in Little Rock, the epicenter of the Drag Capitol of America….our own Drag Gotham as it has been called by me just now.

It was not merely that Pagan Holiday was rumored to be on the playbill and probably on the stage, too. (This effectively put to bed any rumors that Pagan had joined the League of Shadows.)

No, no, boys and girls and friends beyond the binary…..

This night was special.

Epic.

Like the Book of Acts in the New Testament: something has risen.

Like the Christopher Nolan Batman series: a universe was reclaimed.

Yes, this night was big.

A great wrong would be righted.

A course correction so necessary to the Queer community so substantial it is second only to the reclaiming of the word “queer” itself in terms of the degree of wrongness that has been rightness’ed.

What was taken from Eden has been restored.

Yes, of course, the Fresh Fish crown … that was restored weeks ago at the show

What was restored that night, what “Cookie Nation” around the world finally got to experience, was the gayness of giving all of our love, accolades and adoration to our newly Crowned Queen of Fresh Fish All Stars, the Winnerest of Winning Winners, the Most Beautiful Queen who was or will ever be: Eden Cookies.

It has been long written in The Lore of Drag:
